各国ECR委员会：

亚洲ECR大会是由亚洲ECR委员会和它的成员国组织的每年一次的地区的盛会，其目的是将不同行业的制造商与供应商，零售商以及他们的技术与服务供应商集中在一个单一的平台上，分享ECR技术与最佳实践，以及影响供应链的最新趋势与挑战。“ECR与自由贸易－跨国界供应链管理的挑战”是第9次亚洲ECR大会的主题，将于2006年11月13日至16日在马来西亚吉隆坡的吉隆坡会议中心举行。

由于自由贸易运做环境的动态变化，商业面对越来越多的跨边界商品与服务其挑战也越来越大。为了保持竞争力，商业必须通过双边和多边的方法加强和提速贸易在不同地区之间的移动。更重要的是从一些组织机构当中通过一些好的实践来适应改变和在市场中更加节约成本和提高效益。

为了优化跨边界的操作，商业必须集中精力消除供应链上的障碍。ECR是一个非常好的策略，目的是通过应用最好的实践，全球的标准和使能技术来消除供应链上不必要的成本，提高商业运做效率，增加竞争力来加速供应链的流转，从而在一个更广阔的范围上来推动商业。

会议将包括全会和分会的以下一些内容：

· 影响快速消费品行业自由贸易的战略点。 

　　· ECR战略论坛包括服务水平，损毁，传统贸易到现代贸易。 

　　· 商业论坛包括地区零售商和消费者趋势的更新。 

　　· 有关全球标准和使能技术，发展和应用上的技术论坛。 

　　· 供应链的最佳实践，使能技术，物流和食品安全问题。 

　　· 2006年ECR亚洲获奖案例。

Dear National ECR Asia Boards：

ECR Asia Conference is an annual regional event co-organised by ECR Asia Council and its country board, with the mission to bring the entire supply chain from the industrial suppliers, manufacturers across different vertical industries, retailers to the technology and service providers together, on a single platform to share insights into ECR techniques and best practices, and the latest trends and challenges impacting the supply chain. ECR and Free Trade – The Challenge for Cross Border Supply Chain Management is the theme of the 9th ECR Asia Conference which will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 13 to 16 November 2006.

With the dynamic changes in the free trade operating environment, businesses will face more challenges  from even more demanding cross-border movements of goods and services.  To remain competitive, businesses will have to commit to strengthening and facilitating speedy movement of trade flows among the regions  through multilateral and bilateral means and more importantly with the aid of best practices derived from pioneering organisations, to adapt to the changes and compete cost effectively in the marketplace.

In order to optimise cross border operations, businesses must focus on removing the obstacles in the supply chain activities. ECR is the perfect strategy where it aims at removing unnecessary cost from the total supply chain by promoting the applications of best practices, global standards and enabling technologies to streamline business operational efficiency and empower its competitive edge to increase velocity in the supply chain and facilitate commerce at a much broader scale.

The conference comprises plenary and track sessions on the following:

· Strategic viewpoints on the impact of free trade to the fast moving consumer goods industry. 

　　· Strategic forum on ECR strategies which include service level, shrinkage, traditional to modern trade and ECR for the SMEs. 

　　· Business forum which include updates on the retail and consumer trends in the region. 

　　· Technology forum on global standard and enabling technologies development and applications. 

　　· Supply chain best practices, enabling technologies, logistics and food safety issues. 

　　· ECR Asia Awards 2006 presentations.

Introduced in 2004, the ECR Asia Awards 2006 will be presented to encourage cooperation and collaboration among trading partners, to recognise efforts made in the ECR movement, and to stimulate sharing of best practices that would improve efficiency in the distribution chain.

In line with the preparation for the 9th ECR Asia Conference we attach herewith the nomination forms for the ECR Asia Awards 2006 and Conference Call for Papers for your reference.
